On paper one advantage the Ironman 230 has over the 212 is that 230 offers more top end power making the 230 the 3/8" and 1/2" machine. I owned a MM 210 for at least 12 years, and have owned a 230 for several years now. The 7 tap selections on the 210 weren't enough.

The 211i was like $1326 to my door with a free helmet, the Miller Multimatic was going to be $2138 with the tig kit. I also tried to go the route of a stand alone mig, and buying a seperate dc-tig machine but it just was not happening for under $2000 with an American manufacturer.. This 211i machine is made in China, I do not like that.

Other wise, top end power, more robust wire drive, and inductance control all point towards the PM 210 potentially being the better unit.
